The only lake in the world that changes color is in Romania

 

Three kilometers from Baia Sprie in Maramures County is Blue Lake. It is the only lake in the world that changes color depending on the light and the people who swim in it.

Blue Lake is a is a remarkable tourist attraction, unique in Europe, due to the colour that changes constantly.

When the mine is flooded, due to the sulfur, the water acquires a strong tinge of green . When more than one person swims in the lake, it changes color to blue.

Blue Lake was formed by the collapse of the mining exploitation of galleries on the vein Domnisoara, 1919-1920, where over the years he has collected rain water.

Thanks to solubilization , the water is green-blue, sometimes with emerald reflections.
