Romania, the 68-th place in the world tourism competitiveness

 

Romania ranks of the 68th century in a ranking of 140 countries in tourism competitiveness published in the 2013 report of the World Economic Forum (WEF)

In the previous report, in 2011, Romania ranks 63.

According to the World Economic Forum, whose headquarters is in Geneva, the top 10 places in the ranking is Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Spain, UK, USA, France, Canada, Sweden and Singapore. Ranking last country is Haiti.

At European level, Romania ranks 35th of the 42 countries assessed, the list is completed by the Republic of Moldova.

The 140 countries included in the report are classified according to fourteen indicators of competitiveness in tourism, such as legislation, sustainability in environmental, health and hygiene levels, transport infrastructure, human resources, natural and cultural.
