The Zichy Castle from Gheghie
The Zichy Castle from Gheghie, Bihor county, was built by a baron from the Zichy family. The last owner of the castle was from Muntenia, a noble called Mateescu. After his death the castle was nationalized and remained for a while unused, which increased the level of degradation of the edifice. From 1956 the castle works as a sanatorium for those who suffer of TBC.
Nowadays it is being solved the request of claiming of the successors of the noble Mateescu.
