The Mocioni Castle from Bulci
The Mocioni Castle from Bulci, Arad county, is located near the town, near the Mures river. It was built in the first half of the 19th century, having its actual shape in 1860. The Castle was built by the Baron Fechtig-Fechtenberg and became possession of Mocioni family in 1858.
The edifice is surrounded by a huge park. On two of the façades of the building there are terraces having the blazons of the Mocioni family, sculpted in relief. The central body has a weapon hall, with a wonderful fire place. During the last owners, Antoniu Mocioni and his adoptive son Ionel Mocioni-Starceam the castle was often visited by the king Carol the 2nd, on the haunting trips.
Nowadays here there is a Sanatorium.
